Larry Chu, MD, MS is Professor of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine and Director of the Stanford Anesthesia Informatics and Media (AIM) Lab.He is a founding co-author and designer of the Stanford Emergency Manual and co-author of the Stanford Obstetric Anesthesia Emergency Manual, and Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Manual of Clinical Anesthesiology, for which he authored the crisis-management and emergency algorithms. His scholarship spans perioperative crisis management, cognitive aids, patient safety, and opioid pharmacology, including more than eighty peer-reviewed articles and ten books.He is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
